This is one year of funding with possibility of subsequent years of funding based on accomplishment of the stated goals. Specifically, recipients will: Collect up to 2000 nasal swab samples from wild mammalian species including feral swine, peccaries, rodents, raccoons, etc. in various appropriate locations in Mexico and Texas. -Obtain necessary export permits to ship samples into the United States. Provide appropriately qualified, trained and experienced personnel in order to perform its obligations under the Agreement; Ensure that personnel associated with USGS funded activities are adequately briefed regarding the activities, objectives and goals; Be responsible for the performance and conduct of all personnel involved with the activities. Be responsible for all administrative and travel associated with the activities. Ensure that the performance and impact of all activities are adequately and effectively monitored and assessed and comply with local and federal regulations -Provide resources and contract for the acquisition, management, and analyses of large databases and coordinate field data with data manager to comply with CEIRS requirements. |
