This grant, offered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Klamath Falls Fish and Wildlife Office, funds the Threemile Fish Barrier Installation Project. Its purpose is to construct an additional fish passage barrier in Threemile Creek and improve the existing one. This prevents brook trout reinvasion into upper Threemile Creek, serving as a vital backup if the current barrier fails. Enhancing the existing barrier is also recommended by USFWS engineers. Installing and strengthening these barriers is essential, catalyzing several bull trout recovery actions in Threemile Creek. The Service offers technical assistance and will cooperate with the recipient.
