The primary focus of this project is to increase awareness of, and provide access to, two park units (KLGO & KLSE) to socially and economically diverse youth. The project draws inspiration from the Parks as Classroom program and the Healthy Park, Healthy People program. This project engages underserved youth of Seattle Project Goals – This agreement will create youth engagement opportunities by planning and implementing Teen Hikes of the Chilkoot Trail for youth from the Seattle area from title I schools as well as youth local to the Skagway area.
