The Department of Education offers the AP Test Fee Program, providing grants to State Educational Agencies (SEAs). This program aims to cover all or a portion of Advanced Placement test fees for qualifying low-income students. Eligible students must be enrolled in an AP course and intend to take an AP exam. The primary objective is to significantly increase the participation of low-income students in Advanced Placement testing. By removing financial barriers, the grant helps more students take AP exams and achieve scores that qualify for college academic credit, promoting educational equity and access to higher education opportunities.
