The Division of Earth Sciences (EAR) is offering Postdoctoral Fellowships to highly qualified investigators within three years of their PhD. This grant is for early career scientists to undertake an integrated program of independent research and education, focusing on scientific questions within EAR disciplines. The program supports researchers for up to two years, allowing fellows to conduct their work at an institution or national facility of their choice. This initiative aims to identify and foster beginning investigators with significant potential, providing them with crucial research and educational experience to establish leadership positions within the Earth Sciences community. These fellowships are awarded to individuals, not institutions, and are administered by the Fellows themselves. Doctoral advisors are encouraged to inform their graduate students about this opportunity early in their programs.
