Description:: The purpose of this FOA is to solicit new ideas for eliminating cellular reservoirs of HIV that continue to actively produce virus in tissue compartments despite suppression of plasma viremia with antiretroviral therapy. New approaches to delivering antiretrovirals or other anti-HIV agents to these tissues or to specific cell types are needed to block virus production and infection, limit inflammation, and facilitate clearance of these reservoir cells.
