Additional Information

Agency Name:: National Park Service
Description:: United State Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) Notice of Intent to Award. This is not a request for applications. This funding opportunity is to provide public notice of NPS’s intention to fund the following project activities without full and open competition to Point Reyes National Seashore Association (PRNSA), to collaboratively work with the NPS and continue the long term partnership that promotes natural and cultural resource stewardship, outreach, and education. The applicant is uniquely qualified to perform the activity based upon a variety of demonstrable factors such as location (PRNSA is co-located within the park), property ownership, voluntary support capacity (PRNSA enlists many volunteers for projects that benefit park resources), cost-sharing ability if applicable, technical expertise (PRNSA staff have background in wildlife monitoring needed for this project), or other such unique qualifications. Additionally, PRNSA is a long-term key partner in restoring and funding restoration of the Giacomini wetlands. The follow up monitoring is a continuation of this long-term and successful partnership
