Interventions proposed in response to this initiative should target communities as defined by geographic proximity, shared goals, and/or common characteristics, which may include but are not limited to race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, social economic status, education level, behavior, and identity. This includes both populations that are vulnerable to HIV infection and individuals living with HIV. Intervention approaches should take into consideration the existing agencies or organizations in the community that are capable of adopting the efficacious community-level interventions that are developed and tested. |
