Description: This Cooperative Agreement is being awarded to The University of Montana under the Rocky Mountain Cooperative Ecosystems Studies Unit.

The tasks to be performed under this agreement are as follows: The objective of this project is to increase our knowledge of bat distribution and bat hibernation sites in the Rocky Mountains and to increase our knowledge about the temperature and humidity conditions in caves where bats are hibernating. This knowledge will be used to focus survey efforts for evidence of WNS and to allow managers to maximize the effectiveness of cave management to assist bats in avoiding the negative impacts of WNS.
