The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is offering a grant to establish and operate the Communications Technology Center of Excellence. This center, part of the NLECTC System, will serve as a vital resource for criminal justice agencies and NIJ’s research efforts. Its primary purpose is to provide scientific and technical support for communications and position-location technologies, facilitate the adoption of appropriate technology into practice, and assist in the development and dissemination of technology guidelines and standards.
