Description: In this announcement, we seek to support projects that advance criminal accountability for atrocities committed in Iraq or Syria. Applications may focus on atrocities committed in either Iraq or Syria, not both. Applicants must demonstrate regional and contextual expertise and capacity to partner with local partners in the country proposed. It is not required that project activities take place within either country. This is in recognition that evidence, witnesses, victims, and potential courts with jurisdiction over crimes exist beyond Iraq and Syria. Please note: Applications that focus on atrocities in countries and territories other than Iraq or Syria will NOT be considered.
