This grant is for empowering individuals living with HIV to become effective leaders within HIV systems of care. It aims to significantly enhance their engagement and leadership in health care planning and programs, particularly within Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) activities. Key initiatives include conducting ‘training of trainers’ programs for people with HIV on leadership, providing comprehensive support to these trainees to achieve their goals, and developing valuable tools and lessons learned from the project for broader dissemination. The overarching goal is to increase the leadership capacity, representation, and meaningful involvement of people with HIV in all aspects of RWHAP, including planning, implementation, evaluation, and clinical quality management, fostering skill development and peer learning.
