The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT) is offering its PTT Grants program to advance the application of science and technology in historic preservation. This grant is for innovative projects that develop new technologies or adapt existing ones specifically to preserve cultural resources across fields like archeology, architecture, landscape architecture, and materials conservation. Funded activities include laboratory or field research exploring novel methods, training initiatives promoting new technologies, documentation using advanced approaches, and dissemination through manuscripts or websites. It also supports expert meetings discussing technology’s role in preservation. NCPTT does not fund construction or routine documentation projects. The program aims to foster research, education, and technology transfer.
