This SAMHSA grant is for the purpose of significantly expanding substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and vital recovery support services within existing adult and family treatment drug courts. Recognizing the critical need for treatment over incarceration for individuals with SUDs, this program aims to empower recipients to provide comprehensive prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services to those involved with the courts. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to improve participant outcomes, including fostering abstinence from substance use, enhancing housing stability and employment status, increasing social connectedness, and positively impacting overall health and behavioral consequences, thereby reducing criminal justice involvement.
