The Department of Youth and Human Services is offering the FY24 Street Outreach Program grant. This initiative is specifically designed to provide essential street-based services to runaway, homeless, and street youth. The grant’s primary purpose is to support efforts that reach young individuals who are vulnerable, having been subjected to or are at high risk of sexual abuse, prostitution, exploitation, and severe forms of human trafficking. Services funded by this grant focus on assisting these youth in making healthy life choices, ensuring their access to safe shelter, and providing critical basic needs such as food and hygiene packages. The program also aims to connect them with a wide range of available supportive services, targeting areas where street youth typically congregate to maximize outreach effectiveness. The application deadline is June 7, 2024.
