The Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) is offering this grant to strengthen disaster resilience among vulnerable populations in Southern Africa. This grant is for supporting innovative, proven interventions that build on existing agriculture and nutrition investments. It seeks to integrate complementary Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programming with community-based disaster risk management. Alternatively, proposals can focus on comprehensively enhancing resilience by combining efforts in agriculture and food security, improving nutrition uptake through WASH waterborne disease mitigation, and bolstering community preparedness for natural disasters. The primary purpose is to address critical gaps and unmet needs, enabling communities to better withstand and recover from future shocks.
