Additional Information

Agency Name: Geological Survey
Description: The USGS Western Fisheries Research Center seeks to provide financial assistance for research in the development of spatial data layers that identify the spatial distribution, elevation and habitat parameters of oyster beds, eelgrass beds, and salt marshes within the South Slough Estuary (Coos Bay) OR. The research solicited here will generate critical distribution and habitat information that will enhance the forecast modeling of these species distributions due to sea level rise and changes in temperature and precipitation with the coastal estuaries of Oregon. This research will improve the capabilities of resource managers to address regional scale issues of climate change impacts on fish and wildlife and their habitats in WA and OR estuaries, and make significant contributions in quantifying sources of uncertainties associated with estuarine species forecast distribution modeling methodologies and natural variability in an estuarine system.
