The Department of Interior, National Park Service, GGNRA is offering a seasonal Task Agreement for critical trail maintenance within the Muir Woods National Monument (MUWO). This grant aims to support the conservation and upkeep of the monument’s trails, ensuring their safety and sustainability for visitors. Conservation Corps North Bay, the selected recipient, will undertake various essential tasks over approximately five months. Their work will include installing about 1200 linear feet of split rail fencing, effectively closing old social trails, refinishing existing bridges, and retreading trail surfaces to improve usability. Additionally, the Conservation Corps North Bay will perform general maintenance runs across the trails. They will be responsible for recruiting and organizing the ‘CCNB Natural Resources Crew’ to carry out these vital preservation efforts for MUWO’s natural resources.
