The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is offering this grant to empower national mentoring organizations. The funding aims to strengthen and expand existing mentoring activities, delivered via local chapters or subawardees. Supported programs will offer one-on-one, group, or peer mentoring services to at-risk and underserved youth. Successful initiatives must identify and address factors leading to delinquency or other problem behaviors in young people. Expanding these activities is crucial for creating new opportunities for mentee achievement. This program, authorized by FY 2013 Department of Justice funds, seeks to foster positive youth development.
