The Department of Justice, through its Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), is offering the FY 2013 Multi-State Mentoring Initiative grant. This grant is specifically designed to bolster qualified and established mentoring programs. The primary purpose is two-fold: first, to enable these programs to significantly expand their vital services, reaching more underserved, at-risk, and high-risk youth across multiple states. Second, it aims to enhance the quality of existing services by integrating additional research- and evidence-based mentoring practices. This initiative is anticipated to be authorized by an act appropriating Fiscal Year 2013 funds for the Department of Justice, ensuring robust support for effective youth development and intervention strategies.
