The Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRP) Program offers this grant to establish Burn Injury Model System Centers. These centers provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary services to individuals with burn injuries, serving as a foundation for research. The primary goal is to develop and improve access to evidence-based burn rehabilitation, ultimately enhancing health, function, community living, participation, and employment outcomes for those affected. Grantees will generate new knowledge through their own research projects and collaborative efforts, also contributing data to the national Burn Model System database. Successful projects will have a 60-month duration, divided into five 12-month budget periods.
