The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is offering this grant to establish a National Juvenile Justice Evaluation Center (NJJEC). This grant is for the critical purpose of advancing the capacity of states, tribes, and communities to effectively evaluate their juvenile justice activities and programs. The NJJEC will empower these entities to develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and practices for self-evaluation, ensuring that findings are systematically utilized to enhance program effectiveness and inform future initiatives. The center will achieve its mission through a broad range of activities, including comprehensive training and technical assistance, widespread information dissemination, and strategic collaboration with policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and evaluators. Furthermore, it will foster strong partnerships with federal, state, and local agencies to strengthen the overall juvenile justice system’s evaluation capabilities across the nation.
