The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is offering this grant to encourage revision applications from its currently funded NCI P50 specialized centers. This grant is for the purpose of expanding upon original research questions from specific projects or otherwise accelerating progress for their parent studies. This acceleration is achieved by incorporating new technical approaches or instruments, specifically those developed through support from the NCI Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) program. The NCI aims to incentivize independent validation and accelerate the suitability of these emerging technologies for appropriate research communities. As a vital component of the NCI IMAT program, this NOFO also seeks to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in the development of innovative tools and methods that will enable and accelerate critical cancer research and scientific discovery.
