This grant is for the purpose of digitizing valuable herbarium specimens held by the BLM Wyoming Herbarium and its CESU partners. Over the past several decades, a significant collection of plant specimens has been meticulously collected and preserved. The primary objective of this initiative is to create high-definition digital images of these unique biological archives. Once scanned, these critical images will be meticulously organized and then made publicly accessible. By making these digital assets available to anyone via the esteemed Rocky Mountain Herbarium online database, this project will significantly enhance scientific research, educational outreach, and public access to biodiversity information, preserving this irreplaceable natural heritage for future generations.
