The COMPASS program seeks to leverage the advanced fabrication capabilities now available, coupled with design of material structure, to drive functional materials to high performance well beyond state-of-the art. This solicitation focuses on two technical areas of interest: thermoelectric materials for power generation at > 1000 K, and thermoelectric materials for cooling < 200 K) as well as advanced studies in other functional materials systems of potential DoD interest.
