This grant is for the purpose of enhancing understanding and effectiveness of greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting systems. The Environmental Department is offering this funding to eligible entities to conduct vital outreach to affected facilities. Grantees will be responsible for clearly communicating the requirements of state GHG reporting systems, highlighting their differences and similarities with the U.S. EPA’s Final Mandatory Reporting of Greenhouse Gases Rule (MRR). A key objective is also to identify practical and impactful ways in which the combined data from both state and MRR reporting can be leveraged. This utilization will directly facilitate the development and implementation of robust state- and facility-based greenhouse gas programs, ultimately supporting effective mitigation opportunities. Proposals are solicited to achieve these crucial environmental goals.
