Description: This is NOT a request for applications. This is an announcement that an award has ALREADY been allocated. The purpose of this task agreement is to provide project funding in FY 2013 for cooperatively developing and implementing the diverse programs, activities, and projects necessary for implementing the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Preservation and Management Plan. The Erie Canalway Heritage Fund has direct interest in the preservation of resources and development of educational opportunities within the communities along the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor. As such, it is a key partner in helping to affect related national heritage corridor plans. By working together, the Erie Canalway Heritage Fund and the NPS will allow the identification, development and implementation of operational efficiencies resulting in enhanced protection of park resources and improved services to the public.
ECHF agrees to:

1. Implement the Management Plan in accordance with the terms of the Agreement and the Legislation as described in Attachment A – FY13 Work Plan and Budget.

2. Conduct public meetings at least semiannually regarding the implementation of the Management Plan.

3. Include units of local government, regional planning organizations, and nonprofit organizations in developing a management plan.

4. Comply with all applicable State and Federal laws, including, but not limited to, National Environmental Policy Act and the National Historic Preservation Act.

5. Prepare compliance documents for NPS and/or State approval.
