This notice announces an awarded grant, not a new application opportunity. The Montpelier Foundation has received funding to cooperatively develop and implement a Teacher Symposium on the War of 1812. This grant is for the purpose of providing a 5-day/4-night residential program for educators. The symposium aims to equip teachers with comprehensive information and curriculum materials concerning the War of 1812 and its crucial Constitutional issues. Participants are expected to develop educational programs for their respective schools, extending their knowledge and experience regarding the Star-Spangled Banner NHT. The Montpelier Foundation, through its Center for the Constitution, will coordinate off-site visits and supply workshop packets and books, empowering educators to become mentor-trainers for fellow educators on this significant historical period.
