| Additional Information on Eligibility: | 1. Eligible Applicants The following organizations are eligible to apply: • Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental Organizations. Note: For-profit and commercial entities are ineligible. Proposals may be submitted by Ukrainian not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations. A registered Ukrainian non-governmental, nonprofit organization is eligible if: A) An individual U.S. government exchange program alumnus or alumna is a member of the applying organization and the alumna or alumnus of the following USG-funded English Language programs: a) OPEN (Online Professional English Network) Program, previously known as AE E-Teacher Program; b) Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA); c) Fulbright TEA and Fulbright TEA on Media Literacy; d) English Access Microscholarship Program (Access); e) Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Educators. B) That exchange program participant of the above mentioned programs will have a significant role in the planning and implementation of the proposed project. C) Groups with a clear connection to U.S. government alumni networking, such as alumni associations, are also eligible. |

A. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to implement the FY21 English Language Alumni programs that foster the development of English language learning and teaching in Ukraine and support Ukraine’s efforts in reforming secondary and higher education. The goal of the projects solicited through this Notice of Funding Opportunity is to promote one or more of the following themes: – Facilitating English learning through technology and distance education; – English language teacher training and development of training programs and materials; – Blended English language teaching to help schools transition back to in person and blended learning while using knowledge and experience of online learning to create new, blended solutions.
