The US Fish and Wildlife Service is issuing a Notice of Intent to Award a grant to the National Wildlife Federation. This grant is for addressing climate change and other environmental stressors impacting fish, wildlife, and their habitats across landscapes. Recognizing the importance of collaboration, the Service supports partnerships that provide spatially-explicit scientific analyses and tools. These tools link biological planning, conservation design, delivery, monitoring, and research to tackle climate threats and limiting factors at a landscape level. This project will expand the information NWF is currently compiling, encompassing the entire geographic range of the North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative, to foster resilient ecosystems.

Description: | A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD is issued by the US Fish and Wildlife Service to National Wildlife Federation according to 505 DM 2.14(B)2 (see attached NOI). No competition is expected. The Service and its partners recognize that addressing climate change and other stressors within and across landscapes are contingent on partnerships that cut across jurisdictions. Benefits of collaborative partnerships, for landscape conservation issues, include providing spatially-explicit scientific analyses and tools that link biological planning, conservation design, conservation delivery, monitoring, and research to address climate change threats and other limiting factors on fish, wildlife and habitats at a landscape level. This project is an expansion of the information NWF is already compiling to cover the entire geographic range of the North Pacific Landscape Conservation Cooperative. |
