Description: | More than just infrastructure, the goal of the new settlements program is to create new communities, which have the necessary social, economic and governance components in place to ensure that the new residents are able to thrive in their new neighborhood. Given the limited duration of this program (24 months), the Grantee must focus on building and strengthening institutions and processes at the national, local and community levels that will ensure long-term sustainability. In particular, the program shall be planned and implemented in close collaboration with EPPLS, the GOHs Unite de Construction de Logements et des Batiments Publics (UCLBP), as well as local government representatives and institutions, and the existing communities in the area. |
