Description: This Funding Announcement is not a request for applications. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service (NPS)intention to fund the following project activities without competition. Interns from the Student Conservation Association (SCA) under Cooperative Agreement (H2495090023). Under the 21st Century Youth Conservation Corp initiative the National Park created the National Park Service (NPS) Academy which aims to engage diverse undergraduate and graduate students, ages 18 to 25, from across the US. This innovative and collaborative project orients students to the NPS, introduces them to the multitude of career opportunities within the Service, promotes professional and leadership development, and fosters a personal stewardship ethic. Students will have the opportunity to be placed into a variety of summer internships in parks throughout the NPS and across region lines, in a pathway towards committed conservation citizenship.
