This grant, offered by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, is for non-profit organizations to administer the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). This premier professional exchange program seeks to build mutual understanding by facilitating short-term U.S. visits for current and emerging foreign leaders. These visits reflect participants’ professional interests and support U.S. foreign policy goals. Up to six assistance awards are available, each ranging from $500,000 to $5,245,000, collectively supporting approximately 4,800 International Visitors. Eligible applicants are public and private non-profits (501(c)(3)). A key rule: only one proposal may be submitted per applicant; dual submissions for renewal and new competition will result in disqualification. Awards are cooperative agreements for an estimated 36 months.
