The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is offering the Hispanic-Serving Institutions Assisting Communities (HSIAC) grant to empower Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) in their vital community roles. This grant is specifically designed to expand the effectiveness of HSIs in addressing critical community development needs within their localities, fostering significant positive impact. The primary purpose is to support efforts in neighborhood revitalization, improve housing conditions, and stimulate economic development. These crucial initiatives are principally aimed at benefiting persons of low- and moderate-income, aligning seamlessly with the core objectives of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. Through this funding, HUD seeks to significantly enhance the capacity of HSIs to drive sustainable and impactful change in underserved communities.
