The Bureau of Land Management Montana/Dakotas (BLM MT/DAK) is offering the FY24 IIJA/IRA Youth Conservation Corps grant. This grant program is specifically designed to engage young people in meaningful conservation projects across Montana and the Dakotas. The purpose of this grant is to provide opportunities for youth to gain valuable experience in natural resource management, foster environmental stewardship, and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of public lands. Participants will typically engage in activities such as trail maintenance, habitat restoration, invasive species removal, and other vital conservation efforts. The program aims to develop leadership skills, promote teamwork, and instill a strong work ethic among the next generation of conservationists. This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to both environmental preservation and youth development, leveraging federal investment for tangible on-the-ground improvements.
