This FOA focuses on subsector-specific decarbonization approaches for the highest emitting and most challenging to address industrial subsectors. The Energy and Emissions Intensive Industries (EEII) program within IEDO focuses on improving efficiency and decarbonizing industries with the largest energy use and GHG emissions (i.e. chemicals and refining, iron and steel, cement and concrete, forest and paper products, food and beverage, and other industries such as glass and aluminum).
