Description: The United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) Arizona Invasive Species Strike Team (AZISST) implements invasive species management at nine National Wildlife Refuges (NWRs) in the state. This Task Agreement will provide interns from diverse backgrounds with hands-on training, skill development and career exploration in the preservation, conservation and restoration of natural resources. Applicant must have license to apply herbicide in the state of Arizona. Plant species addressed in this task include but are not limited to salt cedar, buffle grass, African (Sahara) mustard, Salvinia, and tumbleweed.
