USAID/Central Asia is currently gathering vital information to inform an anticipated project design aimed at strengthening water and environmental initiatives across Central Asia. This grant is for the purpose of increasing regional transboundary water and environment cooperation, promoting water and environment security, and catalyzing investment in water efficiency. It also seeks to enhance transparency in water markets throughout the region. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only, where USAID/Central Asia is seeking recommendations on effective approaches to support Central Asian countries in reforming and modernizing their water sectors. It does not obligate USAID to issue a funding opportunity or cover any response costs.

This is a Request for Information (RFI) and the Government does not presently intend to issue an award. This RFI expresses the government‘s interest in recommendations on how USAID should approach regional support to the Central Asian countries to reform and modernize their water sectors. Release of this RFI neither obligates the USAID to release a funding opportunity or solicitation for this proposed activity, nor obligates the USAID for any costs incurred in preparing responses to this RFI.
