This grant is for the purpose of enabling State educational agencies (SEAs) to cover Advanced Placement (AP) test fees for eligible low-income students. Offered by the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE), the AP Test Fee program aims to significantly increase participation among students who are enrolled in an AP course and intend to take an AP exam. The primary goal is to empower more low-income students to access advanced academic opportunities by removing financial barriers, ultimately leading to a greater number of students taking AP tests and receiving scores for which college academic credit is awarded. This initiative helps bridge equity gaps in advanced coursework access.
