Additional Information on Eligibility: Eligibility is open to all U.S., Afghan, and international organizations or companies with direct experience in training programs for public speaking, and a proven track record of success implementing projects in Afghanistan. Organizations must demonstrate current country registration license (when applicable), competent programmatic ability and be able to meet reporting requirements. Non-Afghan organizations or companies are required to partner with an Afghan organization or company.

Description: The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan invites all eligible organizations (see Section IV for Eligibility Requirements) to submit a proposal for a program to train Afghan women in public speaking and effective communications skills. The target audience for this training is women in universities and/or other educational institutes in the following cities in Afghanistan: Gardiz, Ghazni, Herat, Jalalabad, Kabul, Kandahar, Khost, Kunduz, Mazar-i-Sharif. Please note that training space in those cities can be provided at no cost. Applicants may propose to offer instruction in Dari, Pashto, or English, depending on the studentsÂ’ needs.
The training program will develop the ability of Afghan women to prepare, structure, and deliver well-tailored speeches that will serve them in a variety of situations. The program strategy should consist of practical exercises and simulations as well as theoretical input so that women will be equipped with a set of tools to enhance their speech preparation and delivery.
