The US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), in cooperation with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and the Lower Snake River Compensation Plan Office (LSRCP), is offering this grant to achieve LSRCP objectives in Washington. The Water Resources Development Act of 1976, Public Law 94-587 and Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, 16 U.S.C. 661-666 authorizes and directs the US Fish & Wildlife Service, Lower Snake River Compensation Plan Office (LSRCP) to work with other State and Federal agencies, Indian tribes to develop and implement a progrram to evaluate survival and harvest of fish release on the lower Snake River. WDFW is uniquely qualified as they manage the LSRCP facilities in the state of Washington. |
