Additional Information
Agency Name: | Office of Science |
Description: | The Department of Energy (DOE) invites currently active DOE SBIR or STTR Phase I grantees with grants resulting from Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) DE-FOA-0000715 and had a November 15, 2012 grant start date. Those SBIR or STTR Phase I grantees with a February 19, 2013 start date are not eligible to apply to this FOA and must wait to submit a Phase II application with the FY 2014 Phase II Release 1 FOA in December 2013.
The purpose of Phase II is to perform the research and development (R&D) required to meet the DOE objectives stated in the topic and subtopic of the Phase I FOA. In addition, it is intended that the small business grantee would be in a position to pursue commercial applications of the R&D at the end of Phase II. In many cases, Phase II results in a prototype, product, or a working process that can be demonstrated to a potential investor or customer (either in the private sector or in the Federal government, including the DOE). Instructions for completing the Grant Application Package are contained in the full text of the FOA which can be obtained at: https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/?doc=DE-FOA-0000957&agency=DOE. |
