Agency Name: U.S. National Science Foundation
Description: This program supports innovative research on the theories of dynamical systems, including new analytical and computational tools, as well as the novel application of dynamical systems to engineered systems. The program is especially interested in transformative research in the area of complex systems, uncertain or stochastic nonlinear dynamical systems, model order reduction of nonlinear or infinite dimensional dynamical systems, discrete nonlinear dynamical systems, and modeling, simulation, analysis and design of multi-scale multi-physics dynamical systems. Additional information is available in the "Dear Colleague Letter" NSF 08-079 titled "Unsolicited proposals to the Dynamical Systems program in the Division of Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation (ENG) and the Applied Mathematics Program in the Division of Mathematical Sciences (MPS) Addressing Crosscutting Topics in Theory and Application of Dynamical Systems," available at: http://www.nsf.gov/publications/pub_summ.jsp?ods_key=nsf08079.
