The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is offering this grant to accelerate drug abuse research by funding innovative analysis of existing social, behavioral, administrative, and neuroimaging data. This grant is for the purpose of studying drug use behaviors (alcohol, tobacco, prescription, and other drugs), their etiology, epidemiology, related disorders, and health service utilization. The department encourages maximizing public and clinical datasets to deepen knowledge of drug use trajectories, consequences, and risk/resilience in psychopathology. Projects should inform strategies for high-quality, effective drug abuse and HIV prevention and treatment, leveraging existing data to advance public health.
