The Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is offering this grant to support comprehensive fuels management and enhance community fire assistance efforts. This grant is for the purpose of funding projects that reduce wildfire risks, restore healthy ecosystems, and safeguard communities in Oregon and Washington from the impacts of wildland fires. The program seeks to implement vital strategies such as hazardous fuel reduction, prescribed fire treatments, and the development of fire-adapted communities. It aims to foster collaborative partnerships that promote sustainable land management practices and increase resilience to wildfires, thereby protecting both natural resources and human populations.
