The Department of Justice, through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), is offering this grant to enhance or expand initiatives that develop and mature community programs. This grant is specifically for providing vital mentoring services to high-risk populations that are currently underserved. Eligible applicants are invited to propose projects addressing various barriers to service, including geographical limitations, a shortage of qualified mentors, or unique physical and mental challenges faced by the targeted demographic. Additionally, communities can identify other specific situations that lead to unmet mentoring needs. The primary purpose of this program is to strengthen the capacity of local organizations to deliver effective mentoring, ensuring that vulnerable youth receive the support necessary for their growth and well-being.
