This OJJDP grant is for the purpose of funding evaluations of programs aimed at preventing and reducing girls’ delinquency. Recognizing a significant increase in girls entering the juvenile justice system, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention seeks to identify and measure the effectiveness of various prevention, intervention, and treatment strategies. The grants will support efforts to document and assess programs that work to diminish girls’ risk behaviors and offending, addressing the critical need for effective solutions in this area. This initiative aims to enhance understanding of successful approaches for juvenile justice reform concerning young women.
