Eligibility

Eligible Applicants: Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
Additional Information on Eligibility: The applicant organization must have a U.S. curator assigned to organize the exhibition. Independent curators wishing to submit a proposal must seek affiliation with a non-profit organization or educational institution. Curators must be U.S. citizens or have permanent resident status in the U.S. Architects and designers whose work is proposed for representation at the Biennale must be U.S. Citizens.

Cost Sharing or Matching: As stated above, this program requires significant cost sharing. Applicants are required to include funding from other donors. Past experience has shown that the overall cost of mounting an exhibition is considerably higher than actual U.S. Government funding.
