This grant from the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Colorado supports fuels management and community fire assistance. It aims to reduce catastrophic wildfire risk, enhance ecosystem health, and improve safety for Colorado communities. Funding enables hazardous fuels reduction projects, like mechanical thinning and prescribed fire, creating defensible space and mitigating fire spread. The initiative fosters collaboration with local governments and organizations to implement wildfire prevention strategies.
