This grant is for the critical purpose of empowering 1994 Land Grant Institutions to significantly enhance their research capacity. It specifically facilitates the design and implementation of comprehensive research building initiatives through strategic partnerships with established 1862 or 1890 Land Grant Institutions, all in close cooperation with the USDA. The core objective is to cultivate excellence by developing robust short and long-term training experiences tailored for 1994 Land Grant faculty, thereby substantially raising their research competencies.
